Analysis: Kershaw suffered a bruised calf in the first inning when he sprawled out to stop a grounder, but he said after the game it was nothing more than an annoyance. ''The calf really wasn't a problem, it was more of a stuff thing tonight,'' Kershaw said. ''My stuff wasn't great. I just kind of had to grind through it a little bit.'' Most pitchers would love to be off the way he was. Kershaw has won three straight starts, posting a 1.61 ERA with three walks and 25 Ks.
Apr. 20 12:00 PM PT1:00 PM MT2:00 PM CT3:00 PM ET15:00 ET19:00 GMT3:00 12:00 PM MST2:00 PM EST2:30 PM VEN23:00 UAE2:00 PM CT-Kershaw avenged a recent defeat to the Rockies by striking out 10 Colorado hitters and throwing seven sharp innings of two-run ball to earn the win Wednesday. The Dodgers' ace yielded just five hits and one walk.
Analysis: The three-time Cy Young winner served up three homers in six innings in a loss at Coors Field on April 8. In his three other starts this season, Kershaw has registered a 1.64 ERA and fanned 26 in 22 1/3 innings while winning each. Next up for the star left-hander is another duel with Madison Bumgarner on Tuesday in San Francisco.
Apr. 15 9:06 AM PT10:06 AM MT11:06 AM CT12:06 PM ET12:06 ET16:06 GMT0:06 9:06 AM MST11:06 AM EST11:36 AM VEN20:06 UAE11:06 AM CT-Kershaw allowed four hits, struck out eight and walked one in 8 1/3 innings as the Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks 7-1 on Friday.
Analysis: Twenty-two strikeouts, 14 hits and just one walk in 21 1/3 innings. It's safe to say Kershaw is in midseason form.
Apr. 9 8:19 AM PT9:19 AM MT10:19 AM CT11:19 AM ET11:19 ET15:19 GMT23:19 8:19 AM MST10:19 AM EST10:49 AM VEN19:19 UAE10:19 AM CT-Kershaw lasted six innings and gave up four runs in his first loss to the Rockies since July 12, 2013, a 4-2 decision on Saturday.
Analysis: A two-homer sixth inning came back to bite him. It was only the third time Kershaw has allowed multi-homers in an inning over his career. Nolan Arenado also hit a homer off Kershaw in the first.
Apr. 4 8:45 AM PT9:45 AM MT10:45 AM CT11:45 AM ET11:45 ET15:45 GMT23:45 8:45 AM MST10:45 AM EST11:15 AM VEN19:45 UAE10:45 AM CT-Kershaw allowed two runs - one earned - and two hits over 84 pitches and seven innings of Monday's 14-3 rout of the Padres.
Analysis: He struck out eight and walked none in his seventh consecutive opening day start. He tied the team mark for most opening day starts in matching Don Sutton, who started seven straight openers from 1972-78, and Don Drysdale, whose seven weren't consecutive. Kershaw is 5-0 in seven opening-day starts with a 0.99 ERA, the second-lowest behind Rick Mahler's 0.92 mark.
Feb. 19 10:51 AM PT11:51 AM MT12:51 PM CT1:51 PM ET13:51 ET18:51 GMT2:51 11:51 AM MST1:51 PM EST2:21 PM VEN22:51 UAE12:51 PM CT-Kershaw is the no-brainer decision to start for the Los Angeles Dodgers on Opening Day when the left-handed ace will tie a franchise record.
Analysis: Kershaw, who is healthy after missing 2 1/2 months last season with a back injury, was officially named the starter by manager Dave Roberts on Saturday, tying him with Don Drysdale and Don Sutton with seven.
