Steelers sign LB Bostic to 2-year deal

PITTSBURGH (AP) The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed inside linebacker Jon Bostic to a two-year contract.

Details of the deal were not disclosed and it will not be finalized until after Bostic undergoes a physical on Monday.

The 26-year-old Bostic played 14 games for Indianapolis last season, getting 97 tackles and one sack. Bostic injured his right knee against Denver in December and finished the season on injured reserve. Pittsburgh is Bostic's fifth stop.


Pats acquire KR Patterson from Raiders

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Raiders are trading star kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson to the New England Patriots.

A person familiar with the deal said Sunday that the deal will become official after Patterson passes a physical. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been announced. Pardon My Take first reported the trade.


Jets, Bridgewater finalize 1-year deal

NEW YORK (AP) Teddy Bridgewater is getting a fresh start in a new place that suddenly has a crowded quarterbacks room - and could be adding another signal caller soon.

The New York Jets signed the former Minnesota Vikings star to a one-year contract, making the deal official Sunday.


Jets get Colts' top pick, go from 6 to 3

NEW YORK (AP) The New York Jets shook up the NFL draft on Saturday by soaring three spots to No. 3 overall in a stunning swap with the Indianapolis Colts.

The Jets acquired the third pick in a strong sign that they intend to get one of the top quarterbacks available. They sent the Colts their first-rounder - No. 6 overall - along with two second-rounders this year and a second-rounder next year to complete the massive deal.


RB Woodhead retires after 10 seasons

NEW YORK (AP) Danny Woodhead went from undersized and undrafted to big-time playmaker in 10 NFL seasons.

The versatile running back announced his retirement from playing in a humble and heartfelt post on Instagram early Saturday.


Cowboys release 10-year vet CB Scandrick

FRISCO, Texas (AP) The Dallas Cowboys have released 10-year veteran cornerback Orlando Scandrick, another move toward getting younger in the secondary.

Scandrick had asked for a release that the Cowboys made official with Saturday's move. The post-June 1 designation gives Dallas $3 million in salary cap space this season with a $1.6 million cap charge in 2019.


Patriots sign DE Clayborn, RB Hill

The New England Patriots bolstered their pass rush and backfield depth with the free agent signings of defensive end Adrian Clayborn and running back Jeremy Hill on Saturday.

The Patriots also announced the signing of veteran offensive tackle Matt Tobin.


Seahawks sign WR Brown, S Alexander

RENTON, Wash. (AP) The Seattle Seahawks added depth at both wide receiver and in the secondary by signing wide receiver Jaron Brown and safety Maurice Alexander.

Seattle announced both of the signings on Saturday. Brown spent all five of his NFL seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, while Alexander is joining the Seahawks after parts of four seasons with the Rams.


Titans set to release DL Williams

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) The Tennessee Titans have told defensive lineman Sylvester Williams they are releasing him after one season into a three-year deal signed a year ago.

The Titans announced Saturday they were releasing Williams.


Raiders sign ex-Cowboys LB Wilber

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent linebacker Kyle Wilber to provide depth and special teams help.

The Raiders also announced Saturday they signed defensive lineman Tank Carradine, who revealed his decision to join the Raiders a day earlier.
